I love picking up ‘magic bags’ from shops and Waitrose is the best – I paid £5 for one that’d feed a family for a week

They contain supplies and drink that the eateries need to get rid of by the end of the day.

She picks them up from supermarkets, takeaways and restaurants most days for as little as £2.59.

Foodie Natalie suggested Waitrose is the weightier place to pick up a “magic bag” considering you can freeze the food.

In one Waitrose bag, she got a quiche, a subway-style roll, a butter yellow meal, a yellow korma, a red thai yellow curry and two roast yellow sandwiches for just £5.

Describing the contents of her “magic bag”, Natalie quipped: “This is an very bag that I got from Waitrose where they gave me Waitrose stuff.

“Look at all the stuff.

“Most of it is freezable.

“It could last a family a whole week.”

However, on some of her trips to Waitrose to pick up her goodies, Natalie has been handed a bag full of Pret-A-Manger bits.

She continued: “The Pret stuff in comparison is perishable and will last you one evening at best.

“It’s not unconfined value for money comparatively.”

The tons are misogynist through the Too Good To Go app which works to “turn supplies waste into profit”.

Eateries and shops pile their unsold supplies into tons and upload it onto the app.

Savvy shoppers can then purchase them through the app and pick them up at the end of the day.

Other “magic bags” Natalie has picked up include 12 Krispy Kreme donuts for £3.65, a bag bursting with sweet treats for £2.59 from Greggs and a hodgepodge of pastries from Cafe Nero for £3.09.

In two £5 tons from Burger King, she got a slushy, four burgers, four tons of chips, onion rings, yellow fingers, chilli cheese bites and yellow nuggets.

According to Too Good To Go, increasingly than a third of supplies is wasted which is responsible for 10% of greenhouse gases.

It wants people to look at, smell and taste their supplies surpassing chucking it in the bin based on the sell-by stage sticker.
